🔸️ The Prayer that brings Answer, is the Prayer! 🔸

We all know the incident of Mount Carmel. There were 450 prophets of Baal standing on one side. Elijah was standing on the other side. Both of them tried to bring fire from heaven to find out whose God was the real God. The prophets of Baal organized a long prayer meeting. They prayed …. prayed …. and kept on praying. Then they were jumping …. dancing …. and were screaming!! But fire did not descend. The God who examines the hearts was not impressed by their sentimentality or hearing their loud voice (1Kings 18:20-29).

Then Elijah prayed! His prayer was less than a minute! But …. fire came down from the sky!! This is the real test. It doesn’t matter whether you prayed for a minute or prayed for over-night. Rather, the test is whether God answered your prayer or not.

We read “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” in James 5:16. In reference to this verse, Jacob connected this and wrote Elijah as a model. Yes, Elijah’s screaming for many hours was not heard, instead his prayer got answer because of his righteousness!

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father! Please change our prayer life that we prayed irresponsibly. Please be gracious for us to seek the prayer which will get the true answer! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
