🔸️ Knowing the meaning and pray! 🔸️

Jesus warned us not to repeat the same sentence while praying without meaning, like the heathens do (Matthew 6:7).

God never consider the quantity of words we use while praying. All He sees is the longing of the heart that accompanies our prayer! True prayer is the earnest desire of the heart with longing. This earnest desire of longing get closer to God and will bring answer to our prayer.

If you are truly praying by understanding the meaning of the word, then it’s okay to say the same word repeatedly! Jesus prayed the same prayer three times in the garden of Gethsemane (Matt. 26:44). But the words He prayed over and over again were not the meaningless “parrot” prayer! Every time He prayed, the words came out from the burdened heart.

Today, Christians lie more to God on Sundays than six days in the week. Do you know why? Because, on Sundays, they say, “I have surrendered myself to Jesus” and “gold and silver belong to You only and not even a small is of mine!” They are dare to sing with joy this kind of hymns and songs.

There is no problem in singing such songs, as the above words are in the songbook. But you did not sing, realizing the meaning of the words! Do you not realize that “I am talking face to face with God” while singing such poetry songs! What are all these? You are lying to God.

Jesus said, “On the day of judgment all men will have to give an account of the words spoken in vain by men” (Matt.12:36). But today we are living in the midst of a Christian generation who have no fear of God and ignore the strict warning of this Lord! We can’t be like that!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father! We have been doing the repeated and meaningless prayers so far; Give us the grace to realize and then do the meaningful prayer! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
