🔸️ “It’s possible to get victory over temptations” 🔸

There is a huge difference between what we are tempted and what we sin.

James 1: 14,15 clearly illustrates this difference. It says, “Each one of us is drawn into his own self-interest, trapped, and put to the test. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.” The sin in our heart can never be born until the desire in our flesh is allowed to conceive. We are tempted when the lust rises to stimulate our minds. At that time, if we set our mind to accept that test, at that moment only fertilization happens and sin is born!

The fact that we are tempted does not in any way harm us. Jesus was tempted just like us. But He never sinned even once, in any way! For this reason, He was fully holy.

The Bible points out, “He had to be like His brothers in every way” and that “He was tempted in every way as we are” (Heb. 2:17; 4:15). Thus Jesus was tempted just as we are! However, He never sinned.

Moreover, “The secret of godliness is great…. The Lord manifested in the flesh and was justified in the Spirit” (1 Timothy 3:16). Yes, though He came in our flesh, but He guard His spirit holy throughout His lifetime!

Here is the secret of hope that we can win just as He won!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father! May we, like the Lord Jesus, who emerged in the “tempting” flesh and conquered sin, please be gracious on us to get victory over temptations! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
