“His Voice Today”

March 8
🔸️ God wants to see whether we have an absolute longing for Him! 🔸
Before God fully blessed Jacob, He tested Jacob for his longing for Him! That’s why He said, “Let me go.” God tested Jacob to know whether he satisfied with what he had received so far? Or is he still longing for God? Now the fact that God tested Jacob …. at later years, Elijah was the same as the one who tested his successor, Elisha. Elijah repeatedly said to Elisha, “Let me go!” But Elisha, unwilling to part away, pursued with great enthusiasm and received the double portion in Elijah’s spirit. (2 Kings. 2).
Likewise, Jesus too tested Emmaus 2-disciples! They were discussing and arguing all along the way. At the middle of their conversation, they came near their house. Jesus gave the impression that He was going farther. But the disciples did not allow Him to leave them … As a result, they received blessings from Him that night (Luke 24: 15-31).
Even today, God is testing us. God never blesses a person completely until He does not see the longing for… “I must get the best of God!” Like Jacob, we must be thirsty in begging “Lord! there are more superior ways in the Christian life than I have ever experienced. Now I am not satisfied! Whatever may be the cost, I want your complete perfection!!” If we come to this golden place to receive the absolute blessings of God, His blessings are very nearer to us, as though it’s enough “to take one step forward to get in”!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! We have come to know that the blessing of your hand belongs to “those who are thirst for you.” We confess and come to you with the saying that “You are our longing”. Accept us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
