“His Voice Today”

🔸️ The witness of our hidden life that God wants in us! 🔸️

When God spoke to Abraham at night to sacrifice Isaac (Gen.22:1), he was already known among the people as the man of God (Gen.21:22). God does not care what humans think of us. God himself wanted to test Abraham. That is why God spoke to Abraham quietly at night!

God ‘asked’ Abraham the invaluable thing! The next day, if he does nothing about it and disobeys God, no one can know it. This is how God wanted to test whether Abraham feared Him or not!

This is how God tests us too. When He speaks to us, very quietly, even the others with us ignorant of what God speaks to us, He speaks in our hearts! One reason why God gave each of us a ‘secret portion’ in ‘our inner life’ is to examine us whether we are fearing to Him or not? If our thinking is as loud as our word, we will all keep our thoughts clean so that no one can think about us badly. But our inner thoughts are kept in ‘secret’, as God alone can see it. Now it is easy for God to find whether we are fearing Him or not.

Abraham won the test! He did not seek the trivial testimony before men. He wanted to obey God in his secret parts. Yes, he took Isaac the next morning and travelled towards Mount Moriah! There he dedicated his son and said, “Lord, I love you more than anyone else on Earth.” ‘Only then’ God gave His good certification and promised to bless him abundantly!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father! Our mind and our heart are a secret that no one can see! Please be gracious to live a life that pleases only You, God alone, as You only can see this magnificent secrecy in us! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
