“His Voice Today”

February 19
🔸️ I am not, but Christ must live within me! 🔸
Nothing would make us evil because of an “angry incident” that happened at some point of time! On the contrary, the evils that have existed throughout our lives has brought, “this annoying incident” to the top. That’s it.
As Amy Carmichael says, “the cup which is filled with full of sweetest water, no matter how much it get shattered on floor because of shaking, it will not become bitter”. So, when bitter water comes into our lifes, the truth is, that “bitterness” was already in the vessel. “Now” the irritating incident has not turned us into bitterness! Nor does it ‘suddenly’ make us without spirituality. Yes, the event that just happened was to be ‘already’ within us, has been brought out.
Therefore, we must be grateful to God for allowing such events to bring out the character in our tainted own life! Unless such things happen, we cannot know that we have a tainted fountain and that there is no good in our flesh.
If ‘suppression’ is considered as victory, we can even call the sales people as “Christ-like”! This is because while their customers test their patience, they will look like they are endearing loved ones for the sake of “their business.” But inside them, they are boiling with ‘irritation’.
Yes, suppression is never a victory! God does not want us to look merely ‘liberated’ or ‘look like spiritual’, instead He wants us to get “true liberation”. Paul said that “I am no more, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). God wants to bring us to this unique situation.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! I am the one who is impure; Grant me grace to crucify myself and to live Christ in me! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
