🔸️ Not the physical suppression, ‘Self’ must die! 🔸

The last few hours of the crucifixion of our Lord, who lived thirty three and half years carrying cross before His Father, was inevitable in “the sight of men.” Therefore, the daughters of Jerusalem who saw the external condition of His sufferings mourned and weeped for Him! Even though our Lord’s response at that time carried a lot of profound news, His courageous answer was that He was the “green tree”! (Luke 23: 27-31). He was “green” because He never did His own will; He crucified them and did the will of the Father.

He also said that those who always fulfilled their own will and who do not see the path of the Cross which leads to heavenly glory are the “dry tree.”! Ah! How our Lord, our Captain, has glorified the “glory of the Cross” for the glory of the Father’s name!! The people whose lives are ‘dried tree’ must weep with grief to free themselves from their ‘self-life’. . . He said “Don’t cry for me.” What Jesus instructed ‘not to do’, today’s Christianity is mourning for Jesus in the name of “the Lent days”.

Jesus did not expect for their “Good Friday” celebrations! Thus Satan made the eyes of the people blind by making them to follow such things… He has hidden from them the noble path of the “Cross” which is to be followed for the whole of their (daily) lifetime!

External physical suppression is very simple. It does not require any kind of devine grace. The hardened nature of our ‘Self’ “to be subject to the sufferings of Christ”; for that, one must need to be strengthen with God’s Grace!

Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Forgive our foolishness, which we considered “crucifixion” of easy physical oppression, like worldly conformance! Grant us the true victory of destroying the “self”! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
