🔸️ Survive and to live, we must die for Self! 🔸
- Have you forgotten? Have others intentionally excluded yourself? Even so ….. if you do not harm them, though they put you in shame, Ah! . . . I am worthy of striving for Christ!! If you feel happy about this in your heart, then it is the death for ‘self’!
- Is anybody despise your goodness and mocking your ideas? At this time. . . If you deny to get angry in your heart, refuse to defend your justifications and accept them with love and silent, that is the death for ‘self’!
- All messed up! Irregularity! Not punctual in keeping time! Will you tolerate any such abuse, with love and patience? Just as Jesus endured the vain, ignorant and even spiritually insensitive thing, when it happens before your eyes and if you endure like Jesus, it means you die to ‘self’!
- While conversing with others, are you not eager to hear a mention about yourself by others? They are not interested in making your good works publicly. . . If you really want to be “an unknown person” then it means dying for self!
- Whatever may be the diet, dress, whatever may be the social environment, or you have been set aside, or any disturbance caused by the will of God … If you are satisfied with them, that is the death to ‘self’!
- When your needs are abundant and when you see your brother’s needs are met and he enriched …. you rejoice with your brother in ‘spirit’ and not be jealous, it is the death for ‘self’!
- When someone who is inferior than you, advises you, if opposition not raising in your heart, ….. instead accepting them humbly not only in your heart, but also outwardly, it is the death for self!
“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.(Luke 9:23).
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven! Thank you for your grace to learn that “to bear our cross” is to “die for our self!” Bless us to carry the cross daily in our lifes! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
