“His Voice Today”

January 12
🔸️ Freedom from self-pity! 🔸
“Wouldn’t anyone love me?” The world is full of people who yearn for that. Many Christians leave the Church and seeking some other Church, where they to be loved! Some are searching this love through friends and some through marriage relationship. But it’s miserable! The repercussions of such a search end in disappointment!! Like orphans, these Adam’s children are insecure and repeatedly suffer from “self-pity.” The pain is that many repentant ones are still in this deadly state of insecurity! Of course it is not necessary to be like this!!
What is the gospel’s answer to these questions? The permanent answer is to find protection in God’s love! Again and again Jesus told His disciples that the hairs of their heads were numbered and that He who fed millions of birds and clothed millions of flowers would surely take care of you. Above all these, “Since He did not spare even His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Romans 8:32 cries out.
This is what the New Testament describes as “entering into the place of resting eternally.” We who believe (God’s perfect love for us) enter into that rest “(Hebrews 4:3). Furthermore, Scripture emphasizes that we must enter into this the place of resting eternally, with all our heart (Hebrews 4:11). Those who do not find this relaxation will most easily be distracted and fall!
Prayer:
Our Loving Heavenly Father! How much more do you love us than the birds of the sky that sing and the colorful flowers! Thank you very much for the ‘disease of self-pity’ has gone from us today!! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
