🔸️ Preaching of the Cross is God’s Strength! 🔸
We read “we preach Christ crucified; He is a stumbling block to Jews…..” (1 Corin.1:23). Is Jesus Christ who crucified for us, is a stumbling block for today’s Christianity? No! “We are being crucified on the Cross” That is only the stumbling block for them. This is where all our self, regardless of how good or profitable they are, is relentlessly ignored! There is no room for its self-respect, even a little. Ah, here only they are getting angry. How much high they view their talents and enjoy in their self, the more they become angry. But you know what’s the truth? All these precious self-fatalism deserves death! It was crucified through the Lord Jesus Christ!! That’s where it should be!!
In 1Corinthians 1:17, we read that “the cross of Christ is not in vain (or powerless) …” and in verse 18, we read as “the doctrine of the cross …. but to us who are being saved it is the power of God”. Are you asking what power is there in the doctrine of the Cross or in the Cross?…. It brings an end for the sinful natured man and his deeds! That power is liberating us from sin! Abolishing the works of the flesh! Freeing from what we already known as sin! Not only that, as the days pass by, we will be freed from the sin that we will no longer know as sin! Freedom!! The crucifixion of ‘self’ vigourously, is the powerful work of the Cross. Yes! the one who is crucified by the nails, unable to go where he wants and painfully places him fixed on the cross … then … and then … he dies little by little soon. Thus the flesh of ‘mine’ dies; That is the most powerful works of this Cross!! “
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! We willingly accept this teaching that we should be crucified like Jesus! Please be gracious to apply this in our practical life! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
