Need a non-hypocritical life!

The word ‘hypocrite’ derived from the Greek word ‘HYPOCRITE’. Its proper meaning is ‘actor’. Think about the actor who acted as John the Baptist in the Hollywood Movie. He was a drunkard in his real life, a divorced prostitute with two or three wives. But in the movie, he is ‘Holy Prophet!’ Thus the ‘hypocrite’ is a man who acts to be honest before men but living a very different life in his real life.

Thus the hypocrite acts to be a wholehearted Christian before other believers. But if you see the way he treats his wife at home and his companionable behaviour with others in his office, you will see him there as a completely different man. Why? Here he is not acting ‘now!’ Yes, he is a man who shows his true character in his home and in his office. Such a person may be a religious person; But not spiritually!

Do you really want to be free from such hypocrisy? Then pray, “O God, give me greater fear of You in my heart, so that I can desire to seek for your praises only and not seeking praises from men”

Jesus condemned this hypocrisy more than any other sin!

Prayer:
Dear Father! We hate “hypocritical acting” before men. Grant us the godly fear to live “true piety” life in all our situations! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
