“His Voice Today”

March 3
🔸️ “The good God who intervenes to correct us!” 🔸
God disciplined Jacob with His divine discipline. Yes, God knew the “divine discipline” was the way to get the lofty role that God had for Jacob.
At the beginning of this divine discipline, God placed Laban nearer to Jacob, who was “a skilled deceiver as Jacob.”. Because Laban was just like Jacob, during the years of close relationship, there were “numerous frictions”. This caused the rough parts in Jacob’s character to be severely damaged and tidied!
God knows whom we need to keep close, so as to cleanse and refine the damaged parts of our lives! However, He carefully calculates and sends His corrective punishments, knowing our needs! Thus, if we are placed in the ark of God’s protection, God will make “all things work together for our good” even though He kept how much the bad Laban with us! Many people have been learnt “sanctifying” in their lives, when God had arranged for them to marry people who were of rough character like themselves. Yes, according to the verse, “Iron sharpens iron” (Prov. 27:17), in the same way couples are being rectified each other due to their rough character.
Now, what happened? Jacob has finally begun to reap what he sowed! Initially, he had been cheating others throughout his life! Now he is deceived by Laban! The bitterness pill that he had put into the lives of others is now bitterly swirling in his mouth!!
God will never discipline us without a purpose. God knows how much medicine every one need. “With the faithful He is faithful; but with the froward, He proves Himself froward” (Ps.18: 25,26); God knows the proper way to handle ‘every Jacob’!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! Thank you for your merciful actions, for getting us to know the areas we need to reform in our lives! Bless us to adhere to you and to attain all Your goodness! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
