 “His Voice Today”

🔸️ Do not take revenge! It is good to wait for His work!! 🔸

When Saul was repudiated at David’s mercy, David was tempted by God to avenge Saul. Not once, twice! (1 Samuel 24: 3-7, 26: 6-12). Every time he won! He did not want to take revenge because he knew that it belongs to God only. He wanted to conquer evil with good (Romans 12: 19-21).

He did not intend to kill Saul in order to seize the throne that God had already anointed and qualified him. Waiting for something that God promised to give us is truly a test for our faith and patience. David did not lose anything because he waited for God and trusted God. God had planned to make David as the king immediately after the 30th birthday of David! The circumstances were happened exactly as God had planned (2 Samuel 5:4). David knew from the history of Joseph that God was the Mighty one to enable anyone to sit on the throne at His preplanned time!

For many years, the word of the Lord had refined Joseph in his most suffering circumstances (Psalm 105:18,19). But the time of the Lord had come as soon as Joseph’s 30th birthday was completed. He was the second prince of the land of Egypt. (Gen.41:46).

Neither his brothers’ jealousy nor the guilt of Potiphar’s wife could have prevented the fulfillment of God’s plan for Joseph’s life!

They could never delay even for one day, the fulfillment of God’s will!

David had read the history of Joseph. Now he was zealous to prove that God is faithful and omnipotent in his own life. Further, David learned that God would do to him what He had done to Joseph!

Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! No one can snatch the plan that you have for our lives! Please be gracious on us not to take revenge for evil but to do good and patiently inherit the promise! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
