“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in His throne” (Rev. 3:21).

The whole message of the book of Revelation can be summed up in one verse from Rev. 21:7 where God says: “He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I shall be his God and he shall be my son”. It is very hard to understand on this earth what our inheritance really is, but we accept it as God’s Word and believe it without any question or doubt.

At the beginning of this book of Revelation our attention is being drawn to the throne. The Lord Jesus answered all the questions that were in the mind of the apostle at that time, how He was to defeat the enemy, and how He would one day bring all of us to a very high position upon His throne, as He has promised. Note particularly Rev. 3:21. Thus is the clear purpose of God revealed that our Lord wants us to be there upon His throne. The message us so simple “to him that overcometh”, will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne, but by faith we can accept it easily for God is so merciful, and so gracious that He wants to forgive our sins, and that is why He has made a way of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. It becomes simple to us when we know that the honour us “to him that overcometh”, and further that those who overcome will inherit all things”. (Rev. 21:7).
